Why do you want to become a priest? I want to become a priest because I want to baptise people. I also want to be active in the life of the youth.
Who is your favorite saint & why? My favorite saint is probably St. Sebastian. When I was confirmed I chose to be confirmed in his name because even when faced with death he remained strong in his faith. St. Sebastian is the patron saint of athletes, military and law enforcement, he is also the patron of those who desire a saintly death.
What is your favorite quote? "Today, invest in somone else's happiness."
If you could talk to anyone in the course of our history (dead or alive), who would it be and why? I would love to talk to my great grandpa again. Growing up I spent a lot of time with him and my grandma, but I never asked very many deep and meaningfull questions. I would love to gain a part of their wisdom.
What is your favorite past time or hobby? Fishing. For as long as I can remember I have loved fishing.
Do you have a favorite bible verse? John Chapter 2:5 "His mother said to the servers 'Do whatever He tells you'"
Did anyone (priest, religious sister, friend. etc.) make an impact on your decision to enter seminary? Over the years countless people have impacted my decision to enter seminary. in particular my home pastor Fr. Whittington. He helped me to realize that a priest is more than a pastor to the parish but also a friend to every individual parishoner. Through him I discovered the posibility of friendship with a priest in addition to being one of his parishoners.
What is your favorite form of prayer? My favorite form of prayer is probably Adoration because it is very versatile. You can pray for anything in front of Jesus In the Blessed Sacrament.
What is your favorite title of the Blessed Mother and/or Jesus? Mary Mother of God
Any advice for someone discerning the priesthood or religious life? When you hear Gods call ask Him for the strength to follow it, don't run from God, because you will not be happy, and you will not outrun Him.
