Seminary: Saint Meinrad Seminary and School of Theology
Why do you want to become a priest? God had blessed me abundantly in His priests who have been in my life, particularly through Confession and the Holy Eucharist. I want to offer God’ss grace and sacraments, His love and forgiveness, to those who desperately need Him, as I do.
Who is your favorite saint & why? St. Thomas Aquinas - I admire his scholarly works, his love for Christ, and his living the virtues of chastity and purity.
What is your favorite quote? The world offers you comfort. But you were not made for comfort. You were made for greatness! -Pope Benedict XVI
If you could talk to anyone in the course of our history (dead or alive), who would it be and why?Definitely Jesus of Nazareth. I know we can talk to Christ through prayer, in the recesses of our hearts, but imagine looking Jesus in his own eyes, and hearing the sound of his own voice.
What is your favorite past time or hobby? I love to read good, intelligently-written books, go for walks, and occasionally play on my Xbox.
Do you have a favorite bible verse? Psalm 118:1: O give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his mercy endures forever!
Did anyone (priest, religious sister, friend. etc.) make an impact on your decision to enter seminary?
My college chaplain and spiritual director, Fr. Barry Fischer, C.PP.S., my home pastor, Fr. Sean Danda, and the example of Fr. Rick Nagel.
What is your favorite form of prayer? The Rosary and Eucharistic Adoration
What is your favorite title of the Blessed Mother and/or Jesus? Our Lady of Mount Carmel, and the Word
Any advice for someone discerning the priesthood or religious life? Do not dwell on your past sins and failings once they’ve been forgiven. Trust in the Lord. Seek first God’s kingdom, and there will of the Father. In all things, He will sustain you.
