Vocation Story Video
Why do you want to become a priest? I want to be a priest because God has been very merciful towards me and I would like to show Him my gratitude by serving Him in this way.
Who is your favorite saint? St. Francis de Sales. His book "Introduction to the Devout Life" was critical to building up my faith and prayer life when I was still very new to the faith.
If you could talk to anyone in the course of our history (dead or alive), who would it be and why?
Bracketing Our Lord and the Saints, I would want to meet either George Washington or John Adams. I have a great interest in studying the American Founding and I would love to talk to those men about their lives and experiences.
What is your favorite past time or hobby? I really enjoy studying the American Founding, reading Jane Austen novels, running, chess, and good conversation.
Do you have a favorite Bible verse? Luke 7:47 "Wherefore I say to thee: Many sins are forgiven her, because she hath loved much. But to whom less is forgiven, he loveth less."
Did anyone (priest, religious sister, friend. etc.) make an impact on your decision to enter seminary?
Fr. Ryan McCarthy, Fr. Sean Danda, and Fr. Mike Fritsch were all very important inspirations to me discerning a vocation to priesthood, as was my good friend Michele Thomas.
What is your favorite form of prayer? My favorite form of prayer is meditation using the Bible.
What is your favorite title of the Blessed Mother and/or Jesus? Mary, Untier of Knots
Any advice for someone discerning the priesthood or religious life? Discern with the Lord in prayer, and then take the fruits of your discernment to Holy Mother Church so that she can help you. Don't go it alone!
